About Us

Our interactive programme of work with primary learners aims to introduce children to the vocabulary of higher education, allow them to meet current students and to promote the idea that educational progression is achievable and is linked to the world of work. Through this work we are also able to forge strong links with our local communities by linking undergraduate and postgraduate student volunteers to our local primary schools.

Welcome to the Undergraduate Recruitment and Widening Participation Database

The University of Manchester has developed an ambitious strategic plan to become one of the world’s leading universities and the UK’s most accessible research-intensive institution. Our approach involves not only working with post -16 age groups to encourage and promote access to the University of Manchester - but also with pre-16 age groups recognising a need to promote education and HE more generally.

This database is a resource for any professional involved in recruitment and widening participation activities at The University of Manchester and has greatly simplified the viewing and sharing of information by bringing together records and data relating to our wide-range of outreach and enrichment activities.

If you are a member of staff at The University of Manchester and would like to find out more about the database or would like to request a user-login, please contact the Undergraduate Recruitment & Widening Participation Office on 0161 275 2212.
